Oxney Organic Estate

Award winning vineyard and winery on organic farming estate

Oxney Organic Estate is the UK’s largest organic vineyard. Located between Rye and Tenterden the estate’s winery makes award winning organic English sparkling wine and is open for tours and tastings. The vineyard is part of an organic farming estate and also has beautiful holiday cottages as well as shepherd’s huts for glamping in the vineyard.

Planting the first block in 2012, Oxney has now grown to 13.5 hectares, or 54,000 vines. The vineyard is nestled on land sloping down to the river Rother amongst large oaks and 17 meters above sea level. A perfect microclimate for growing vines. Growing chardonnay, pinot noir, pinot meunier and seyval blanc the estate is planted and managed to make sparkling wines in its winery in a converted oast house in the middle of the vineyard. The vineyard is on an ancient farm mentioned in the Doomsday book – a perfect spot for informative tours and a relaxing lunch.
